Summertime Sips

I wish, I wish with all my heart, to fly with dragons in a land of hearts.

Well, we might not be spending the summer adventuring with Ord, Cassie, Zak, Wheezie and Quetzal but if you are looking for a quick escape that may or may not involve dragons then I have just the thing for you! Nothing quite says summer time than a cold smoothie filled with refreshing flavors and since I have had quite the sweet tooth as of late, this has me satisfied on all fronts!

And I have been seeing quite a bit of recipe memes lately so while there is quite a bit that I could update you on, I will take the hint and get right to the point.

So what am I sipping on these summer mornings?

Dragon Berry Smoothie


INGREDIENTS:

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a blender, add water and dragon fruit then blend together until fully mixed.

  2. Add in frozen mixed berries along with banana and blend.

  3. Add protein powder, fiber boost, and multivitamin boost. Blend until you achieve desired consistency, you might want to add in a little more water.

  4. Pour into a mason jar, pop in a metal straw, sip and enjoy!

PRO TIP: Mix in a couple heaping scoops of coconut yogurt for an even creamier taste and texture.

This has been a refreshing way to kick off those hot summer days and it is just the thing to keep me cool and fueled for the abundance of packing that I have before me. We are officially checking off Alaska from my United States travel wishlist and figuring out what type of weather I am packing for has been a struggle. So as I am trying to figure out the perfect ratio of summer to winter clothing I definitely plan on sipping on my new go-to smoothie.
