What's On My Face
A Skin + Skincare Update
It has been a hot minute since I have worn face make up and I truly have been loving the skin I am in. While my skin conditions up until this point has been mild compared to some,I never quite realized how much of what I put both in and on my body affects my overall complexion. I guess that type of thing comes with age or maybe I am just noticing it more because I am aging, either way I have been living for the healthy glow I got going on.
So what's on my face?
Hands down, without a doubt my favorite face wash that has blessed my skin. It takes exfoliating to whole other (more gentle, yet effective) level. It buffs away all the dead surface skin cells, excess oil, and whatever makeup I might have on while still managing to leave my skin feeling fresh, hydrated, and looking brighter. It is crazy to think that a few years ago washing my face looked a lot like a quite run over with whatever bar soap I had on my washcloth.
As a 2-in-1 product acting as both a serum and a moisturizer, this cream-to-gel formula leaves my skin looking dewy without the extra shine. It uses lentil seed extract to help mattify my skin which is almost necessary when dealing with the humidity here in Hawaii.
I talked about this baby before and honestly there hasn’t been a day since this product was released that it hasn’t been on my face. Sunscreen is so so important, especially in a place where the sun is almost always shining. And while I appreciate the extra protection from those harsh rays, I absolutely love the slight tint that comes with the SPF! Not only does it had a blurring effect that acts like a natural filter but it comes with a universal tint that minimizes any redness and evens out my overall skin tone.
This was actually the very first Arbonne product that I tried back in the early days of my business and it has been a staple in my skincare routine ever since. Even on my laziest days, you know the ones where you just swipe a compostable makeup wipe over your face and crawl into bed, I simply cannot fall asleep without this night cream.
My morning skincare routine includes a quick rinse with warm water followed by the Hydrating Dew Cream and the Soft Focus Veil Sunscreen. And to nourish my skin from the inside, lately I have been taking a shot of greens balance and drinking lemon water throughout the day! My nighttime routine looks slightly different and includes a quick clean with the Facial Cleanser, which is then sealed with a layer of the Dew Cream topped with the Night Cream.
I never thought that I would enjoy my bare skin as much as I have recently and aside from the few (very human) blemishes, my skin has been the clearest it has ever been. And that glow, I can’t talk enough about the healthy glow!
What does your skincare routine look like in 2019?
Until next time, tah.
