Community Over Competition
Sometimes you just need an end of the week drink with a fellow wellness advocate to get re-inspired and motivated. Last week Friday, I experienced just that, and it was just what got my booty back in gear.
In the last few months, I have come across some incredible people as well as reconnected with some familiar faces and I am seriously grateful that I have a killer community to fall back on. It makes my heart warm to see each and every one of my friends’, yes even the internet ones, passions thriving and that ultimately they are living their best lives. And what gives me butterflies is that I get to continue to support my friends in some shape or form as they continue to grow. Whether it is a simple shout out or an actual purchase, I aim to do what I can to support the dreams and I encourage each of you to do the same.
My love for this community truthfully did not develop until I became active in the Twittersphere and there are several reasons why. The main reason is that on Instagram, most people are out to have the best visual content not to actually connect with their followers. While on Twitter, I have found that people are genuinely interested in what you have going on – personally and professionally. Once I experienced that, I honestly could not go back and I sought to encourage that type of interaction on my other social platforms. The dominos ended up landing me with connections to some passionate people.
This whole community over competition concept has me thinking back to my business with Arbonne when I first moved home to Maui and the responses I have gotten from some people in the network marketing industry. The men and women within Arbonne are overall amazing souls and I am blessed to get to know so many in a company that reaches globally. I have come across some in Arbonne who still need to learn how to carry a little extra heart and I have learned that it just part of the journey. And that journey is not only held for those in my company but also for others in the industry.
I am currently working on some creative projects and events that involve people from all sorts of businesses, so April should have lots in store for the both of us. I wanted to take a moment before I wrap up this post to thank each of you butterflies for sticking with me. Your support alone has helped me overcome a lot of personal hurdles with my pursuits and I am excited to see where this takes us!
Until next time, tah.
P.S. If this resonates with you in any way please tell me about yourself! I would love to help you discover how Arbonne fits into your life.
